Bandai Namco Entertainment recently released a new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the latest installment in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi arena fighter franchise. The trailer confirmed the final roster of characters for the game, which includes characters from Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Z movies, and even characters from the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime.
The game producer, Jun Furutani, also introduced new game modes such as Episode Battles and Custom Battles. Episode Battles will allow players to experience the stories of iconic characters like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and more. Custom Battles will enable players to create their own battles with unique scenes that can be shared online for others to enjoy.
In addition to the character roster confirmation, the trailer showcased the various editions of the game, including the Premium Collector’s Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Ultimate Edition. Players who pre-order the game will have early access to unlock six characters before the official release date on October 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The game boasts a robust roster of 182 characters, including classic favorites like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and a variety of forms and transformations. The game will feature Episode Battles that offer a single-player experience with branching storylines that may lead to alternate scenarios. Custom Battles will allow players to create and share their own battles online, including Bonus Battles created by the developers.
