Netflix recently released a teaser for the upcoming animated series based on the popular Devil May Cry video game franchise by CAPCOM. The teaser announced that the series is set to debut on Netflix in April 2025.
The series will consist of eight episodes and will feature well-known characters such as Dante, Vergil, and Lady. The show is being produced by Studio Mir, known for their work on shows like Yasuke.
Voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch has been confirmed to voice Dante in the English-dubbed version of the series. Adi Shankar and Alex Larsen have completed writing the scripts for the first season, with plans for multiple seasons in the future.
This isn’t the first time Devil May Cry has been adapted for television. Back in 2007, Madhouse produced a 12-episode anime series based on the game. The franchise has also inspired novels, manga, and even a stage play crossover with Sengoku Basara.
