Netflix recently released a new video for the second season of the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga, One Piece. The video gives fans a glimpse of the cast doing a table read of the script and ends with a teaser of the character Chopper.

Creator Oda mentioned that this season will cover the story up to the Drum Island arc, including key locations like Loguetown, Reverse Mountain and Twin Cape, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. The streaming platform has also announced new cast members for the upcoming season, such as Smoker, Tashigi, Miss Wednesday (Nefertari Vivi), Dr. Kureha, Dr. Hiriluk, Wapol, Dalton, Nefertari Cobra, and many more iconic characters from the series.

The first season of the live-action series premiered on Netflix in August 2023 and had eight episodes. The second season is expected to have Joe Tracz, known for his work on Percy Jackson and the Olympians, as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner alongside Matt Owens. Production for the new season has already begun, and a 2025 release date is anticipated.

Tomorrow Studios, in partnership with producer Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios, produced the first season of the live-action adaptation.
