AnimEigo recently announced that they will be releasing the 1991 OVA series Bubblegum Crash on Blu-ray on January 21, 2025. This series serves as a sequel to the 1987 OVA series Bubblegum Crisis. Fans can expect all 3 episodes of the series, including “Illegal Army,” “Geo Climbers,” and “Melt Down,” to be included in this Blu-ray release.
Moreover, the new release boasts a full restoration of the second episode, “Geo-Climbers,” along with high-definition upscales of the first and third episodes. To sweeten the deal, the Blu-ray comes with a newly designed slipcover, exclusively available for purchase from the MediaOCD webstore.
In addition to the episodes, viewers can look forward to bonus features such as liner notes, trailers, restoration demonstrations, and multiple audio options including English (US, Stereo), Japanese, English (UK, Stereo), and Castilian Spanish.
