A TV anime adaptation of the popular manga “Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishidan de Kawaigarareru” has been officially announced for 2025. The manga, originally a web novel by Shirohi, has gained a large following since its serialization in 2021.
The story follows Sophia, a young girl who receives the divine protection of the Gorilla God in a world where people are blessed with the protection of animal gods at the age of 16. Despite her initial desire for a peaceful life, Sophia’s unique power catches the attention of the royal knights, leading her down an unexpected path.
The manga, illustrated by Mika Kamisu, has garnered positive reviews and currently has five tankoubon volumes available as of May 2024. Fans of the series can look forward to seeing their favorite characters come to life on screen in the upcoming anime adaptation.
