The Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming arc titled “Rayquaza Rising.” Along with the video, the anime also announced three new cast members who will be voicing characters from the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet games.

The newly revealed cast members include Marika Kōno as Sazare (Perrin in English), Yu Shimamura as Briar, and Misato Fukuen as Seille (Carmine in English). The fourth arc is set to begin on October 11 and will feature characters from the Kitakami region, which was introduced in “The Teal Mask” expansion for the Pokémon Scarlet/Violet game.

The Pokémon Horizons anime first premiered in Japan in April 2023 with a special one-hour episode. The show airs on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. JST and has previously showcased arcs such as “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos) and “Terastal Debut.”

The series was originally set to debut on Netflix in the U.S. on February 23 but instead premiered on March 7. Subsequent parts of the series have continued to stream, with the fourth part scheduled to begin on November 22.

The anime follows the adventures of dual protagonists Liko and Roy, along with their Pokémon companions Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. The Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in its Shiny form also plays a prominent role in the series. New characters Friede and Captain Pikachu, a Pokémon professor and partner duo, join Liko and Roy in their battles.

Directed by Saori Den and with creative direction from Daiki Tomiyasu, the series boasts a star-studded team including Dai Satō overseeing the scripts, Tetsuo Yajima as the action director, Rei Yamazaki as the character designer, and Conisch composing the music.
