The Digimon Adventure anime franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a newly animated promotional video set to debut in March. Titled “Digimon Adventure -Beyond-,” the video will be showcased at the Digimon Con 2025 event, which will be streamed globally.
This special video will cover the story up to the end of Digimon Adventure 02, but with a new twist featuring Taichi and his friends as adults. The video will also include the iconic Digimon Adventure insert song “Brave Heart” by Ayumi Miyazaki.
Directed by Hiroyuki Kakudō, with character designs by Rie Nishimura and animation by Yumeta Company and Toei Animation, this video promises to be a treat for Digimon fans. In addition to this video, a separate 25th-anniversary video for Digimon Adventure was released on the official Digimon Partners YouTube channel earlier this year.
The Digimon Adventure franchise first aired in 1999, followed by the Digimon Adventure 02 sequel series in 2000-2001. As part of the anniversary celebrations, new comics were published on the Digimon Web platform, showcasing artwork from “Digimon Comic Award” contestants and a new Digimon manga by Tenya Yabuno, author of Digimon Dreamers.
To add to the festivities, theaters in Japan screened the Digimon Adventure Our War Game! and Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!! films as a double feature starting on August 9. The franchise continues to captivate audiences with its engaging storylines and beloved characters.
Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Digimon Adventure 25th-anniversary video and immerse yourself in the nostalgic world of Digimon once again.
