The television anime adaptation of Yū Hashimoto’s manga “2.5 Dimensional Seduction” has released a new promotional video for the second half of the series. The video introduces the new opening and ending theme songs, as well as a new cast member. The opening theme song, titled “Tsugihagi no Tsubasa,” is performed by Soraru, while the characters Ririsa Amano, Mikari Tachibana, Nonoa, and Aria sing the ending theme song “Release Sigh.”

In addition to the theme songs, the anime has announced Junichi Suwabe as the new cast member, playing the role of Yoichi Higarashi, the author of the “Lilliel: Side Story” spinoff manga. The anime, which premiered on July 5, will continue for two consecutive cours, airing for a half-year run. HIDIVE is streaming the anime as part of its summer 2024 season.

The series follows the story of Okumura, the president of the school’s manga club, who is obsessed with a fictional 2D manga character named Lilliel. When a real 3D girl named Lilysa, who loves cosplay, joins the club, the boundaries between the 2D and 3D worlds start to blur, leading to a hot-blooded romantic comedy.

The anime features a talented voice cast, including Junya Enoki, Kaori Maeda, Akari Kitō, Aya Yamane, Yuka Nukui, Tomokazu Sugita, M.A.O, Sayumi Suzushiro, and Sayumi Watabe. Directed by Hideki Okamoto and produced by J.C. Staff, the series promises to deliver an engaging and entertaining story for fans of the manga.

Apart from the anime adaptation, a smartphone game titled “2.5 Jigen no Lilysa: Tenshi-tachi no Stage” is also in development by Aiming and Team Caravan. The manga, licensed by Seven Seas under its Ghost Ship imprint, has garnered popularity with over 1.7 million copies in circulation since its launch on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website in 2019.

Fans of the manga and anime can look forward to more exciting developments in the world of “2.5 Dimensional Seduction” as the series continues to captivate audiences with its unique blend of 2D and 3D elements in a romantic comedy setting.
